Fly Fishing Pack Trips
If you enjoy getting away from the crowd to some secluded waters for some great Montana fly fishing, or Yellowstone fly fishing, you will want to join us on our Montana fly fishing pack trip and/or on our Yellowstone fly fishing pack trip. For our summer pack trip season, we are headquartered out of our Cooke City Pack Station / ORVIS Fly Shop, which is located 4 miles from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone Park, in the small mountain town of Cooke City, Montana.
Whether you go on our Montana fly fishing pack trip or on our Yellowstone fly fishing pack trip, you will be exposed to great fly fishing waters and the abundance of wildlife, beautiful wildflowers, waterfalls, and towering granite peaks offer infinite photography and sightseeing opportunities!!
Montana Fly Fishing Pack Trips
Our Montana fly fishing pack trips run from late June thru September 15.

We offer quality, full-service, backcountry fly fishing, horseback pack trips into the million acre Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. This area has literally hundreds of pristine, high mountain lakes and streams that is home to a wide variety of trout – Cutthroat, Brook, Rainbow, Golden and Arctic Grayling. On our Montana pack trip you will experience our secluded, wilderness base camp, spectacular, unsurpassed scenery and terrific Montana fly fishing!!

Our 5-day horseback pack trip with wrangler/guides/ cook, food & meals, a fly over the cooking area, horses, saddles & tack, large tents with army cots to sleep on, packing your personal gear into camp and back out, ½ day in and ½ day out packing / travel time, 4 days of fly fishing and 4 nights lodging in our comfortable Montana fly fishing base camp.

Our Yellowstone fly fishing pack trips are full-service, quality, backcountry fly fishing pack trips that offer secluded Yellowstone fly fishing in famous trout streams such as: Slough Creek, Pebble Creek, Cache Creek, Miller Creek and the Lamar River.

Due to regulations governing the amount of horses we can use on our pack trips, and our use of low impact camping techniques to protect the environment, each client’s personal / fishing combined total weight is limited to 35 lbs.
