Montana Elk Hunting Rifle Season

If rifle hunting is your passion, you should elk hunt with one of the best Montana elk hunting outfitters in the business. You are welcome to hunt with us in October and November on one or more of our Montana general season rifle elk hunts. Our backcountry camp is located in the West Pioneer Mountains, which are in the Beaverhead National Forest. This is Montana elk hunting area 332, in the Big Hole Valley out of Wisdom, Montana.

We also offer a rifle elk hunt in September in Montana Hunt area 316. Area 316 is located in the remote, million-acre, Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. Our early rifle elk hunts originate from our Cooke City Pack Station, which is located in the small mountain town of Cooke City, Montana. This hunt is a horseback pack-in hunt and is in the Gallatin National Forest. It offers an opportunity to hunt Bull Elk with a rifle during the rut.

There are no words that can explain the self-satisfaction and experience of spending your nights in our backcountry Montana elk hunting camp, getting up before daylight and hunting long and hard until dark each day for a chance at a native, Montana elk. We have had our elk hunting camp for 35 years. The Big Hole Valley and Wisdom, Montana, are famous for elk hunting and offer an excellent opportunity for trophy bull elk hunting.
